Pinangat :: An essential food to try when in Legazpi

A dish which combines taro leaves, chili, meat and coconut milk. The ingredients are wrapped in gabi leaves, tied securely with coconut leaf and simmered in coconut milk. It’s an essential that I look forward to every time I come to Legazpi.

Pinangat available in LCC Mall near checkouts

Soft and full of flavor, I personally love this with some nice roast belly pork. It’s cheap and available on the street or in this case from LCC supermarket by the checkouts at a cost of just P35 which is 55p in British money or QR 2.5 in Qatar money.

  1. Brian,

It is about lunch time here in Doha and this blog makes the hungry me go crazy. Though Pinangat in LCC tastes good, home made version should be the best.

    Enjoy!
